I have spent years searching for the “best” perspective to capture the engineering marvel of a bridge that crosses Tampa Bay. Of course the position I would like happens to be in the middle of the bay (impossible to deploy my long exposure technique from a boat).
After closer examination, the perspective from Anna Maria Island and this small jetty met all my requirements.
I am asked about the name for this image quite often. It would appear that it isn’t too far between the last channel marker post and the bridge. In reality it’s about 7 miles. So now you understand how many channel markers might be missing. Perspective IS everything.
