Months of location planning and scouting went into the Coastal Florida Series. Oceans Eight is no exception. Shot in Bal Harbor, the northern tip of Miami Beach, on a perfect late summer afternoon.
Although the beach in this area is nothing to write home about, I managed to locate a few remnant sea wall pilings that I thought would work nicely. Over several days about 30 images in this location were captured. The one before you made the final selection for both its cloud formation and the changing tide providing those beautiful white pockets in the foreground.
